The National Assembly on Tuesday, granted full financial and administrative autonomy to all the 774 local council authorities across Nigeria by amending section 124 of the nation’s constitution.

The Central Bank of Nigeria has approved the appointment of Mrs Aishah Ahmad as the new Deputy Governor of the apex bank, prior to her new appoint, Aishah Ahmad was the Head, Consumer and Privilege Banking at the bank. She was previously the Head, Retail Banking Directorate.

IGP BAN NATIONWIDE HIGHWAY ROAD BLOCK

The Inspector General of Police, IGP Ibrahim k. Idris NPM, mni, has given a nationwide order to officers on roadblocks. Idris ordered the dismantling of all roadblocks nationwide with immediate effect; particularly on the following routes, Lagos-Ibadan, Shagamu-Benin, Benin-Onitsha, Okene-Abuja, Kaduna-Kano, Katsina – Kano, Otukpo – Enugu, Enugu – Port Harcourt Express Ways.

Governor Okorocha bans tricycles in Owerri

Tricycle Operators  popularly called Keke Marwa in Imo state will cease to operate in designated areas in Owerri, the state capital as from Tuesday, September 5, 2017. Only taxis will now be operating in the capital city.
